Instead of following a secure and conventional career trajectory, she chose to channel her knowledge, experience, and deep commitment into building a fully accessible online learning platform designed specifically for deaf children. She brings with her a wide and dynamic range of experience across teaching deaf children, training both deaf and hearing educators in developing stronger bilingual approaches, and contributing to research in the field. Beyond her professional work, Kanika spends her time immersed in reading and writing, continuously expanding her intellectual and creative horizons. Several of her publications have appeared in respected and widely recognized journals and publishing houses, including Penguin Publications, Orient Blackswan, and the American Annals of the Deaf.

Priya Mohan is a dedicated and compassionate educator with over five years of experience in online teaching and the design of meaningful learning experiences. Her work is centered on supporting deaf learners while also guiding and mentoring parents of deaf children, helping them navigate learning with greater clarity and confidence.

She brings a strong foundation in academic coordination, individualized learning strategies, and student-centered instruction, consistently shaping environments where each learner is understood on their own terms. Her approach reflects both structure and care, balancing thoughtful planning with responsiveness to each child’s unique way of engaging with knowledge.

Beyond her professional commitments, Priya values continuous personal growth and creative expression. She enjoys reading, exploring new ideas through films and series, experimenting with new recipes, and engaging in arts and crafts—activities that enrich both her perspective and her approach to teaching.

Priya Mohan

Netrali works with deaf and intellectually diverse individuals through education, communication, and creative expression. Her teaching journey began under the guidance of her mother, an educator with 45 years of experience, where she developed early skills in working with deaf children and later applied them within her community.

She brings a strong focus on expression through movement, having completed Visharad in Kathak dance. Netrali has taught Kathak and Bharatnatyam to deaf and intellectually diverse children, creating spaces where confidence and creativity can emerge beyond spoken language. Her work also includes engaging with deaf women through shared dialogue and communication-building, supporting their everyday interactions with greater clarity.

Through her engagement with Deafhood in Bangalore, Netrali has deepened her understanding of identity, culture, and self-definition. She aims to collaborate with organizations and communities to expand opportunities where growth, expression, and independence are actively realized.

Netrali Barwe

Sayali Bhangare, from Thane District, began her journey as an online educator during the COVID-19 period by launching her own Mehendi classes. With strong participation, this experience allowed her to explore and understand the nuances of online teaching while building confidence in digital learning spaces.

She later worked for one year with SignAble Communications, gaining further professional experience in structured environments. After taking a one-year maternity break, Sayali has now re-entered her professional journey as an online educator at DoT, bringing with her both experience and renewed purpose.

Her work is driven by a commitment to engage with and shape meaningful learning experiences for deaf children. Through her teaching, she seeks not only to share knowledge but to contribute to pathways where learners can grow, explore, and define their own direction.

Sayali Bhangare

Mrs. Vaibhavi Ketkar from Pune is a B.Com graduate from S.P. College, Pune University. She is proficient in Sign Language, Marathi, English, and Hindi, which allows her to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. A dedicated swimmer, she has proudly represented herself in five National Games of the Deaf, showing strong commitment and discipline in sports. She has also worked as a swimming coach for around five years, guiding and supporting learners with patience and skill.

Beyond her professional and athletic achievements, Vaibhavi has frequently taken on the role of a sign language interpreter for her parents, friends, and others, helping bridge communication gaps in everyday life. When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending her time travelling, watching movies, listening to podcasts with English subtitles, and reading books, all of which contribute to her continuous learning and personal growth.

Vaibhavi Ketkar

Fauziya Khanam is a skilled and creative professional with expertise in VFX and compositing, video editing, green screen work, color grading, motion graphics, and 3D design. She is proficient in a range of tools including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, CapCut, Canva, VN Editor, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Along with her technical abilities, she also has strong skills in image editing and demonstrates excellent teamwork through her involvement in sports and collaborative activities.

She worked as a Digital Marketing Executive from 2025 to 2026, where she applied her creative and technical skills in a professional setting. Outside of work, Fauziya leads an active and engaging lifestyle. Her hobbies include cricket, hiking, bike riding, running, badminton, and working out. She also enjoys reading, shopping, flying kites, watching movies, photography, travel, and exploring video and image editing as creative pursuits.
